London Lindy Hop Exchange - Brit Hop

Welcome to Brit Hop - the London Lindy Exchange 2009!

Come join us for a weekend of fun here in London, and get to dance with lindy hoppers from all over the world! An exchange is really a wonderful opportunity to meet dancers who you would otherwise never get the chance to meet.

We are fortunate enough to be using, once again, the amazing, newly renovated Finsbury Town Hall for all three evening dances ! This glorious listed building has been lovingly restored and currently accommodates one of the finest performing arts colleges in the UK.

Our live music line-up is already proving impressive, with Pete Long's Swing Orchestra once again gracing our Saturday night stage, as well as the welcome return of the Kings Cross Hot Club gypsy jazz band to provide us with music at the Saturday lunchtime event, which this time will be held at the Exmouth Centre, a larger venue located in a trendy part of town filled with lively cafes, bars, clubs and restaurants! There are even whispers that Adrian Cox Trio may bless us with a set or two at our Sunday lunchtime event ... We can but hope! 

A late night party is also planned and, if dancing all weekend wasn't enough.... the Cycle Tour, which had to be cancelled last time due to the tour organiser, David, being struck down by an unknown tropical illness, is also back on the schedule.

A fab selection of DJs will be spinning a whole range of tempos and flavours from the swing era throughout.
