Sally loves the hot rhythms and sophisticated sounds of the 1930s and can be seen in various clubs around London and also as the resident DJ for the Shirt Tail Stompers.
Swingmonster
Swingmonster Martin discovered dance in 1996, and Swing dancing five minutes later. He lost his heart to Lindy Hop at Herrang 2000, and has DJ’d since then every time anyone let him. LLX 2010 is his second appearance. His favourite swing bands are Led Zepplin, The Osmonds, and Enya. On occasions, he has been known to remove his tongue from his cheek.
Shaun The Mad Hatter
As one of the original “Dancing DJs” from the world famous Jitterbugs club in London, the Mad Hatter has been keeping lindy hop dancers in the groove on the London scene for several years. Making the rhythm as solid as a rock, and playing the swing dance favourites from the thirties and forties, the Mad Hatter guarantees a good time on the dance floor. Get on down and swing out!
Lady Kamikaze
DJ & Club Promoter of Ladyluck & Black Cotton Club.
Lady Kamikaze is in big demand - Collector of rare vintage 78 & 45 rpm records.
Travels around the world playing her brand of vintage music that will keep you on the floor all night.
Also loves to dance herself so I'm sure she will be joining in with all the dancing action.
JazzMonkey
I love to play swing music for dancers, mixing in a bit of everything from the 1920s to today. I've been DJing for 6 years at swing events around Europe and have a residency at a London nightclub. I love to hear a variety of different styles of jazz when I'm dancing – and that definitely inspires my selections when I'm DJing. Some favourite artists include Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Christian, Coleman Hawkins, Oscar Peterson and Jimmy Smith.
Jamie Cameron

Haydn Meddick
Haydn Meddick discovered swing dancing by accident when he saw people dancing by the River Thames in London in July 2003. Having a background in music, it didn't take long for him to start noticing the different music that was being played, and he soon developed a liking for classic swing from the 1930s and 1940s. Since 2006, Haydn has DJ'd at different clubs in London, and at Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden.
Ellen Stantschew
Ellen Stantschew has DJ'd regularly in Hamburg and Melbourne, and many dance events round the world. She says: "The most important thing for me is that people have fun. This is one of the reasons that I like to surprise the crowd with a song (or occasionally shock them). As a dancer, I love songs with lots of breaks so that dancers can play with the music. Aim: Watch the dancers, watch the floor!"
Dirty Rat
Dirty Rat (Tecwyn Evans), has had an interest in swing and jazz from an early age. He has been dancing Lindy Hop for some time and is known to have a dance whilst playing his sets. Dirty Rat enjoys good swing music, that gets the body moving, whatever the tempo.
David Zilkha
David has taught lindy and blues and DJ'd for dancers across Europe for several years. He was formerly a contemporary dancer and has been dancing lindy/blues for about 10 years. He was part of the teams which set up both LLX and the London Balboa Festival, and one of the founders of Blues Revolution, before moving last year and setting up SwingDanceBristol which runs a weekly dance night in the city – come and visit!
Asif Malik
Asif Malik loves DJing just as much as he loves dancing and has played at many events in the UK as well as abroad. "I love to play anything that has a good rhythm and that it is fun to dance to, even if it means occassionally slipping in something a little challenging or unconventional ;-). There's no greater buzz than watching a floor full of dancers thoroughly enjoying themselves."
